On Friday November 21st, Bergelectric took home the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) 2014 San Diego Excellence in Construction Top Subcontractor Award for our work on the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry (SYLPOE) project.
This one-of-a-kind project required our crews to renovate the world’s largest land port while it remained in full operation throughout the entire project duration. On top of installing 43 miles of underground conduit, 27 miles of EMT conduit, and pulling over 235 miles of wire, Berg crews had to dig directly underneath one of the busiest freeways in California (Interstate 5).
A project like this cannot be successfully completed without an extraordinary field crew and an exceptional management team. Congratulations to everybody involved with the SYLPOE! It’s projects like this that make Bergelectric best-in-class.
